Mitä olette mieltä, onko kotimainen nopeusajojen malli parempi kun sellainen kattojärjestön valvonnassa oleva säännöillä rajattu ja turvallisuutta painottava mikä lähinnä jenkeillä on ?

Hello Texas Mile Racers,
We just wanted to take a few minutes to say hello and to let you know about some things to expect once you get to the event. The gates will open on Thursday March 22nd at 3pm. When you arrive at the gate you will be asked to sign the liability waiver. All crew, family, and spectators will travel through this same gate and sign the liability waiver in order to get their wristband. Each person gets a different color wristband depending on their status: Driver/Rider, Crew, or spectator. Once inside the facility please follow the direction of the Paddock Marshall, he will guide you to the place that you can park and set up your pit area. Once you are parked this will be your spot for the whole weekend. Family and crew are allowed to park behind your paddock space once they have the correct wristband credential. Once you get parked, you may then proceed to registration to sign in.
Participants are required to check in at the registration tent and sign the liability waiver again in front of a Texas Mile Employee. Once the appropriate forms are signed and turned in the participant gets a specific color wristband that identifies them as a driver or motorcycle rider. The color of your wristband is associated with your license class. All Texas Mile employees are aware of what each color wristband signifies to ensure no one goes out on track that is not a driver or motorcycle rider. If you are going to be sleeping in an RV, Camper, or Travel Trailer at the facility you will need an additional wristband that designates you as an "overnighter". You will also be given an overnight window pass for your RV, Camper, or Travel trailer. This pass is signed by a Texas Mile employee. Any person found sleeping at the track without an overnight wristband will be asked to leave and return in the morning. Participants are also given a "tech ticket"; this ticket has your assigned vehicle or motorcycle number on it. You are required to take this ticket to technical inspection in order to get your tech credentials which are specific stickers. The look of the Tech stickers is not revealed to anyone until the opening day of the event weekend. Each individual car or motorcycle is assigned a number that is required to be displayed on their vehicle or motorcycle on both sides. Once you are registered you can move on to Technical Inspection.
Every registered vehicle or motorcycle must be teched by a Texas Mile Technical Inspector. There are two lines at tech, one for cars and one for bikes. You will need to bring your "tech ticket" and hand it in to a tech inspector. This signifies that you have already checked in at registration. You are also required to have your assigned number on your vehicle or motorcycle when you arrive at tech. Each participant should have a filled out technical inspection form, if you forget it there will be extra blank forms at tech for you to fill out. The tech form is checked by a Texas Mile technical inspector and signed. The technical inspector not only checks the vehicle or motorcycle but also gear including: helmet, gloves, fire suit (if necessary), leathers (for motorcycles), and shoes so bring these items with you. Once the vehicle/motorcycle and gear have bee teched you will get a tech sticker for your vehicle/motorcycle as well as a helmet sticker. The helmet sticker must be displayed on the left side of the helmet, and the vehicle/motorcycle tech sticker must be displayed on the left hand side of the windshield. The tech sticker is tamper proof; if it is removed from the vehicle/motorcycle, it will be void. If you registered as "Over 190 MPH" you will get a separate tamper proof sticker for your windshield, but only if you meet the proper requirements. Once you have gone thorough registration and tech you have one more step to complete before you get to go out on track, the drivers meeting.
Every participant is required to go to 1 (one) meeting. The meeting is given by the Race Director and Shannon Matus. Meetings will only be held during the times listed on the schedule. You are allowed to attend an earlier meeting if you are only racing for 2 days or on the waiting list.
This meeting goes over all of the Texas Mile procedures:
• Safety on and off track
• Participant Do's and Don'ts
• Restricted Areas
• Concessions
• Technical Inspection
• Schedule
• Media & Event Sponsors
Slow course drive throughs are only going to be held while the track is cold, during lunch or when runs have stopped for the day. So there will be no slow course drive through at any of the morning meetings. If you wish to do the slow course drive through make sure you attend a lunch meeting or an evening meeting. The purpose of the drive through is so that participants can familiarize themselves with the track before they attempt to do a high speed run. A sticker is given to each driver / rider that signifies they attended the mandatory meeting and their name is checked off of a participant list that is maintained by the registrar. This sticker must be displayed on the left hand side of the windshield of their vehicle/motorcycle. You cannot go out on track without this sticker, and you can only get the sticker at the meeting.
No overnight parking will be allowed on grid! Once the grid closes for the day, no one will be allowed to enter grid until the race director arrives the following morning. If you do park on the grid at night you will be moved to the end of the line the next day.
Make sure that you have your license forms sent into me (Ryan) if you don't already have a license with the Texas Mile. If you already have a license from a previous event I don't need you to resend another application. If you have a Class C license, you will need to make at least 1 pass between 140mph and 165mph to move up to a Class B level. To move from a B to an A requires at least one pass between 180mph and 200mph. To move to an AA from an A requires at least one pass between 205mph and 220mph. If you are racing an automobile you will still need to follow the speed limits set in place by the tech team. Speed limits are "over 190 mph" and " under 190mph"; 190mph to 215mph, and 215mph and up. These speeds are determined by the level of safety equipment that your vehicle is equipped with.
At the end of these processes the driver/rider should have the following credentials:
• Driver wristband (color associated with license class, and it can be changed during the event)
• Overnight wristband (if applicable)
• Tech Sticker for vehicle or motorcycle
• Helmet Sticker
• Meeting Sticker
Staging Marshalls will check each driver/rider, before they go out on track, to make sure they have all of the required credentials. Anyone found without one of the above mentioned credentials will be taken out of line and sent back to registration.
If you have any questions, please email u or call us! You can contact Ryan at Ryan@texasmile.net or 281-799-6306. We are here to help you out and would much rather talk things over with you before the event when we have more time than at the track when we have a million different things to take care of. If you have any car tech questions, please call or email Mike Patterson at Mikep99z@gmail or (214) 402-0028. For motorcycle tech questions please contact Heather Cotterman at (512) 698-9444.
Sincerely,
Thank you
